Amazonite, Coral & Feldspar pendant
This long elegant pendant consists of a green feldspar amazonite collected in the Morefield Mine in southern Virginia (a wall of the Morefield amazonite is on exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.). Dangling from the amazonite are three coral beads separated by silver plated discs. The coral separates the green feldspar "amazonite" from the white feldspar "plagioclase" collected in southern Virginia.
This area of Virginia is picturesque with unfettered skies, gently rolling hills, chirping crickets, and the subtle scent of magnolia. All I need is a mint julep to complete the southern experience!
The pendant’s bail along with the amazonite and white feldspar have been set in sterling silver.
